Hoping someone can help. I'm seriously considering / trying to buy a new Gladiator. I have strong local incentives but the Jeep optioned the way I want is located about 2.5 hours away out of state with less incentive. I understand incentives generally (or always?) follow the zip code of the buyer, so that is fine. Problem is they are not showing an incentive that I think is available to me. I'm convinced the dealer is not trying to "take" the incentive - they just aren't seeing it. The incentive is a $750 cash allowance with code SECLA.
Bonus Cash (SECLA)$750
This program offers eligible consumers a Cash Allowance applied toward the retail purchase (Type Sale 1 or B) or lease (Type Sale L or E) of eligible vehicles. Residency restrictions may apply.
Valid: 8/4/2020 to 8/31/2020

Does anyone know whether that incentive might only be available if I buy locally, or how I can get the dealer to see and apply the incentive? Note I called Jeep using the "contact us" number on the jeep.com website and the person that answered the phone was completely clueless. She told me that the only Jeep vehicle she was seeing that had an incentive was "a Durango" and that she didn't see that Jeep sold any vehicle by the name of a Gladiator. And then the conversation got worse after that . . .

Thanks in advance for any help.

The South east region has $750 bonus cash and as well as Nashville bonus cash for $1500 and then the $2000 bonus cash so up to $4250 in bonus cash for that region in Nashville. Here in WI we only have $500 mdwest bonus cash and the $2000 bonus cash for overlands for up to $2500

Right, that is what I am seeing. I live in Nashville. The dealer says they don't see the $750 Southeast Region bonus cash on the vehicle I'm looking at so they can't apply it. Doesn't make sense to me, but I don't know if I'm right that it should be there or there is a valid reason they aren't seeing it.

It should be there ask them to go to the jeep site and verify the incentives. or go to the jeep site on your phone pull up the model and look at the allowances and show them

OP, I'm a little confused...is it the 2.5 hour away Jeep dealer NOT seeing the $750 discount but the local one does? Dealers swap vehicles all the time. If that's the case, I would have your local dealer (who can apply the $750 incentive) swap vehicles with the other dealer. Here in SoCal, at least, it's very common (that's how I got my Gator...and I got every incentive available).

That is true as long as the 2.5 hr dealer is willing to part with it. They don't have to let you have it

Incentives are often regional, and they will apply to where the car will be registered.

You can check current incentives on Edmunds. Based on your ZIP code, for Overlands the current cash incentives are as follows:
  • $2,000 Customer Bonus Cash for Retail, Financing or Standard Leasing - Expires 08/31/2020
  • $1,500 Customer Bonus Cash for Retail, Financing or Standard Leasing - Expires 08/31/2020
  • $750 Customer Bonus Cash for Retail, Financing or Standard Leasing - Expires 08/31/2020
  • $1,000 Select Inventory Bonus Cash for Retail or Lease - Expires 08/31/2020
  • $500 Military for Retail or Lease - Expires 01/04/2021
  • $500 First Responder for Retail or Lease - Expires 01/04/2021
You generally won't get all the non-conditional incentives; but if you are lucky you can combine those you do get with a bonus tag truck (select inventory) on a specific VIN on the lot. The dealer gets to assign a certain number of those to vehicles of their choice.

I also just looked up some dealers in your area, and I don't see any Overlands getting all three of the non-conditional incentives ($2k, 1.5k, and $750). They are usually getting only the first two.

So you are saying that even the three nonconditional incentives aren’t available for some trucks? That is confusing, especially when the hero website says up to $4250 for my zip code, but if that is the case, I think I’ve negotiated my best deal.

I haven't read the terms for the specific incentives available in your area, but it's more than possible that not all three will be not be available for each specific VIN and the "up to" is important there.

Remember that the manufacturer is footing the bill for these 'bonus cash' incentives, not the dealer. You can still negotiate the price lower.

this. From what we've seen, it looks as though the dealer has not lowered their price; they are only offering factory incentives as discounts.
