While there is no escaping the pain tariffs will bring to the market, Jeep just earned a point in its favor by not being directly subject to import tariffs. INEOS just announced big price hikes as a consequence.

Anyway you look at it our vehicles are multinational, but at least we’re not reliant on BMW engines and our body panels aren’t stuck on with Elmer’s glue.

Jeep is directly subject to the tariffs though. They are idling plants and laying workers off to cover the tariff costs. On top of that, Stellantis will spread the total tariff impact across all of their brands, so Jeep buyers will be helping pay for those Alfa Romeo imports.
