Got around to installing the Badge Glow LED backlighting for my Trail Rated badge this weekend. Ran into a few issues wiring it into the headlights, but other than that, install was pretty straightforward. It only comes on when the low beams are on and since it's wired to the headlights, it also works with my Tazer Mini JL lightshow. I have a full install video that I'm working on and should be up on my YouTube channel soon.

So here it is, the how-to video for installing the BadgeGlow backlighting. This is my first video I've made and my first time to upload anything to YouTube so excuse the quality but hopefully it conveys the message.

So I wasn't sure about this when I first saw it. But last night I had to put my front doors on in the dark in the front yard. Driver side was opposite of the house and jeep was parallel. I picked the door up without realizing how dark it was on that side. Popped the rear passenger door to get some light. But it was still shing from behind the door and it was rough getting both pins lined up. That badge would have been the perfect light source!

Do you have a picture of the side view of the badge? Trying to see how much further it sticks out now. Thank you!

That looks good on Punk'n!
to make it a little easier with the splice process, I used these and tapped right into the same wires you did, but without cutting the existing wires. Made it soooo much easier. Didn’t like how the badge glow didn’t come with much line though so I needed to extend it by soldering and heat wrapping:

What did you tap in to? The DRL or low beams like I did?
low beams like you. Figured it didn’t make much sense to have it running all day long. Can only really see it well at night anyways

Those are cool, I've never seen them before. I've always been a bit leery of doing wiring in my vehicles as I'm always worried about how safe it is in the back of my mind (probably all in my head, but it never shuts up). Those tap terminals seem to be a nifty and easy way to do it.
