Bought with hardtop, picked up new premium soft top for $700 on marketplace. Couldn’t be happier. Did the same with my JKs. I do agree that premium could be left on year round. Not that much louder than hardtop.

When found the Mojave I wanted I t didnt come with the soft top. Which I love to have. last 2 Jeeps had them as well. I was a little upset it didnt have the dual top option. but then I managed to find a Brand new Premium top for $1350 CDN. Feel better now as the dual top option was $2,695. So in the grand scheme of it I saved $1345
You're not accounting for the cost of the 3 piece Freedom top which is $1695. You actually paid $350 more for the soft top than if you would have purchased the dual top option.

Edited to add....I regret not purchasing the dual top option. I thought there would be more cheaper aftermarket soft tops available for the JT. Not sold on the SunTop or the Rugged Ridge options so I am probably going to pay about $1700 to purchase a new OEM soft top since I am not having any luck finding used ones in my area.

I like the freedom top. I’ll have to leave it at an airport next week. I’d likely be far less comfortable with that idea if I’d gone the dual-top route and already transitioned to the soft top.

I have hard top only as well, but i didn’t realize how great the premium soft top was till I had a loaner with it. I could easily live with soft top only, but it’s nice to have both. If had to do it over again and had to pick only one it would be soft top only. Dual top option would be great and I would use both. Both scenarios equal, I wish I had a soft top.

Currently have a JLU with dual tops. Originally bought in Canada so dual made sense. Since then we moved to TN and have had the soft top on the whole time pretty much.

with my gladiator I went hard top since it’s easier to remove than the HT on the JL and I just don’t want a top sitting in my garage not being used.

if I wasn’t getting a MX, I’d have just gone with the ST
