hard to compare Gladiator to other trucks especially the full size trucks. Bought a 23 this year and don’t really like it except for a few things. been thinking for a while now on getting a used Jeep to have at my place in the mountains. Something that 4x4.s well and can get me over the high ground clearance mountain roads. People want too much for used jeeps. Never really like the gladiator but was at the dealer just browsing and saw a lifted and decked out gladiator. Started thinking could be nice to have something that 4x4 like a Jeep but flexibility to still have a bed. Then when I saw dealer selling for about same price as used ones with high miles I decided to buy one. Put lift, tires and some other mods. Love the way Jeep looks in the driveway but hate to drive it as daily driver. Hard to get in and out, small inside, and floats all over road. The electronics package seems to be lacking too. I also have 2015 f250 diesel. Love the f250 and its 2015 electronics are still better than the Jeep. . Lots of little issues with Jeep. Some seem like just poor quality but other things are by design And they don’t make sense. I had another post of about 25 things that bothered me with the gladiator. I love love love the f250 and drive it as my daily driver and like it so much better on long drives. The Jeep has its strong points but for me they are not enough of them to pick gladiator over Any of the mid to full size trucks. If I could only have 1 truck it would not be the gladiator for my uses Or in most cases. But like it for the purposes I bought for.
I am curious as to where you believe the electronics are lacking?

edit: Never mind, I read your other post just now being unhappy with your stereo.

i found this forum looking for answers on my problems. I think I copy and pasted the link to my post correctly here. You can see my long list of issues there. But a couple easy things to point out.
1. CarPlay requires iPhone to be plugged into usb. No wireless
2. I listen to pandora most of time in Jeep. When I wirelessly connect phone to listen by Bluetooth (not carplay) it does not remember the last input source. Every time I get into Jeep I need to reconnect to Blue. Tooth. It always defaults back to radio. My 2015 F250 and other car always remember last input source when I get into truck but not the Jeep

Couple other weird things on the Jeep that I did not mention.
1. what is up with the auto park feature. It slams into park if door is not fully closed. The Jeep being smaller inside sometimes I jump into it close door and it hits me and did not close fully. When I start to take off it slams into park. Really annoying when trying to do something that helps when door is open like backing into small space or a trailer. Need to fully close door or you cant move

2. auto stop/start. Who likes them? No one, including me :’) but I was wondering why mine was not working. After reading maunual there are a bunch of things that need to be true for it to work. The one that surprised me was seatbelt needs to be buckled or auto start/stop will not work. That was odd.

I will second that. Jeeps infotainment software is very intuitive, IMO. The Chevys much better than it used to be, but not as good apples to apples. The wireless CarPlay is huge, but on drives over an hour I plug my phone in anyway. Between my work miles tracker and gps the wireless charging isn’t quite enough. I think it’s hitting the JT 2024 redesign so non factor for me. Having been in a Ram and the Grand Cherokee I can tell you they really have the software side of it down when compared to other mass market vehicle manufacturers. I’d bet the larger screen in the new Jeep will be a game changer.

Toyota not as good, Honda (no true competitor to Jeeps lineup) seemed pretty good but didn’t dig in much, Chevy nope and Ford, meh. Drove both an Explorer and Bronco. Not bad but Jeeps intuitive design is better IMO. The issues with straight bluetooth might be a setting in the phone itself? Not sure but seems likely to me.

Feel a bit sad…but had to part ways with the Gladiator this week. Went with a 2024 Chevy LT Trail Boss with the 5.3L V8.

Reasons I decided to ditch:
1. Got a case of the wobble…. After multiple shops failed to find the fix I got it TCO….but it happened to my wife & scared the sh!t out of her. Didn’t help my case keeping it as my “company” car.
2. Have come to see the Gladiator as a tool that didn’t fit my Midwest need.
3. Love it as a weekender, not as my daily for client meetings in a multi state territory.
4. More utility for my needs…. More power, larger cab & tailgate, smoother ride and quieter for work calls. Plus a factory 2” lift that keeps a bit of the fun factor.

Living in Wisconsin it’s not like I have the ability to go wheeling….swimming pools and Gladiators are both probably much better topless in Arizona! That said, I hope to be back soon with a Rubi or Mojave. My bucket list still includes a trip through the mountains and desert trails but it’ll be a few before my schedule has room for it.

Cheers. ?

Your garage just looks empty and sad now... ha ha... but, you gotta do what you gotta do... so, hopefully the Chev will fulfill your needs, but at the cost of the happiness the jeep brought you...
