I could understand the switch. I see jeep more of a pleasure outdoor vehicle. I could think of a bunch of vehicle for a daily driver long distance/hours. I use my jeep for around town and outdoor stuff. I have a 1 ton diesel it gets 22mpg on the freeway and 600 mile range. It's definitely a lot more comfortable to drive long distance. Idk if I would go chevy the interiors tend to fall apart these days.

OP starts thread at 1:00 AM and by 8:00 PM there’s 5 pages with over 60 posts. We kinda find it hard to say goodbye on here. So good luck, the levies always wetter on the other side…hmm, or is it??
Lol, but seriously, enjoy your new ride.

Feel a bit sad…but had to part ways with the Gladiator this week. Went with a 2024 Chevy LT Trail Boss with the 5.3L V8.

Reasons I decided to ditch:
1. Got a case of the wobble…. After multiple shops failed to find the fix I got it TCO….but it happened to my wife & scared the sh!t out of her. Didn’t help my case keeping it as my “company” car.
2. Have come to see the Gladiator as a tool that didn’t fit my Midwest need.
3. Love it as a weekender, not as my daily for client meetings in a multi state territory.
4. More utility for my needs…. More power, larger cab & tailgate, smoother ride and quieter for work calls. Plus a factory 2” lift that keeps a bit of the fun factor.

Living in Wisconsin it’s not like I have the ability to go wheeling….swimming pools and Gladiators are both probably much better topless in Arizona! That said, I hope to be back soon with a Rubi or Mojave. My bucket list still includes a trip through the mountains and desert trails but it’ll be a few before my schedule has room for it.

Cheers. ?

I don’t blame you!! Beginning of summer I was gonna trade for a new RAM. The dealership offered me $50K for my 2022 JT. I didn’t jump on it. Now I’m ready to get away from this gutless turd and the highest offer I’ve gotten in that last two months is $37K (thanks Jeep). Now I’m stuck. Trucks are SOOOO overpriced now, I’m not willing to pay a $1,200/month payment. So I’m kinda stuck with it. ENJOY THE FULL SIZE TRUCK WITH ACTUAL POWER!!

Hold tight, I think you’ll be alright. Dealers are offloading 2023 inventory so there not stuck discounting steeper when the 2024s arrive. 6 months from now when there are not 20% MSRP discounts the used market is highly likely to improve. Like any market…it’ll fluctuate…

I ordered a GMC 2500 HD Denali Ultimate to add to my vehicles. I am keeping my Gladiator, it has been lots of fun, but I also need a truck to pull some of the heavy stuff.

Looks like a very nice truck you got. Hey you tried the Glad and it was not a fit for you right now. There are many times I get the pull to go back into the Ram 1500 based on what I am doing. But damn every time I take the top off or the doors off I get pulled right back to the Gladiator (LOL)

I haven’t yet, ive been holding off because i know if i sit in one im going to make a poor financial decision since where i am theyre still scarce optioned how i want. I don’t expect the turbo 4 to sound remotely good haha thankfully the army saw fit to issue me just tons of hearing loss! So the engine sound isnt a concern for me.

some concerns i do have is the that ive seen stuff saying the turbo is forged into the engine. Which makes me nervous about it failing and becoming a very expensive problem.

im also concerned because I haven’t been able to find much on their towing specs. Specifically things like the max frontal area or the max tongue weight.
Haha man I feel where your coming from. I did a test drive on new Ram 1500 and it was hard not making a deal but the financing and moving back into a full size were against it.

No doubt it is hard to beat!!! Wish it worked out but don’t regret it for a second. My wife might have different feelings though…

hard to compare Gladiator to other trucks especially the full size trucks. Bought a 23 this year and don’t really like it except for a few things. been thinking for a while now on getting a used Jeep to have at my place in the mountains. Something that 4x4.s well and can get me over the high ground clearance mountain roads. People want too much for used jeeps. Never really like the gladiator but was at the dealer just browsing and saw a lifted and decked out gladiator. Started thinking could be nice to have something that 4x4 like a Jeep but flexibility to still have a bed. Then when I saw dealer selling for about same price as used ones with high miles I decided to buy one. Put lift, tires and some other mods. Love the way Jeep looks in the driveway but hate to drive it as daily driver. Hard to get in and out, small inside, and floats all over road. The electronics package seems to be lacking too. I also have 2015 f250 diesel. Love the f250 and its 2015 electronics are still better than the Jeep. . Lots of little issues with Jeep. Some seem like just poor quality but other things are by design And they don’t make sense. I had another post of about 25 things that bothered me with the gladiator. I love love love the f250 and drive it as my daily driver and like it so much better on long drives. The Jeep has its strong points but for me they are not enough of them to pick gladiator over Any of the mid to full size trucks. If I could only have 1 truck it would not be the gladiator for my uses Or in most cases. But like it for the purposes I bought for.
