My wife and I are planning to go to Jeep Beach this year, but we've never been to anything like this before. Mostly just curious for input/opinions from others who have gone in years past:

  1. How many days would you recommend staying for? It appears they have a different event each day, but it's hard to tell if there will be enough to see/do in between those events to warrant staying longer.
  2. Aside from the main events, what kinds of things are there to do? I assume there will be vendor tents and things to peruse, but the website doesn't say much else.
  3. Will YOU be there this year? :D

Plenty of things to do when I went a few years ago. I'm easily entertained though. I went for 4 days and only spent one at the track. Spent almost one full day parked on the beach chatting with people and watching jeeps cruise by.

I go, but I don't register. All the events that you get access to if you register is nothing I was interested in doing. Seeing how I am 45 minutes from DB I just couldn't justify the cost of the registration only events.

I go to the vendor show on the infield of the speedway on Friday. Last year it was $10 admission. It's a really good show to walk around and look/talk to national vendors about their product. You may find something that interests you and you may even buy something. Most of the vendors will have show specials. There is vendors from all aspects of Jeeping. Sound systems to rock crawling. It is also on Saturday. If you have never been inside the speedway, I guess this is an additional perk to say you done it.

I go to the beach on Saturday. Because the vendor show is still ongoing, the beach hasn't been overrun with Jeeps yet. Still plenty of Jeeps to watch as you sit on the sand, talk to, and drive the beach in relative fluid motion. I would suggest avoiding the beach on Sunday if you are not into stop and go traffic and a lot of waiting. It can get pretty congested.

We (a couple of friends) convoy there on Friday morning. Starting in Eustis (hwy 44) and going that route all the way to Hwy 92 in Deland, avoiding I4 altogether. Being you are parking in a parking lot and walking into the infield for the show, there is no need to even drive a Jeep on Friday. We carpool, if I owned a Toyota Corolla I wouldn't hesitate to take that. Saturday we do the same thing but take our Jeeps. Hope this helps.

Good info. I have never been. I am almost your neighbor (Tavares). If you caravan on your Jeep day I would be interested in following along.

Absolutely you can caravan with us. Being it is still a few months away, we haven't hashed everything out yet. Just to prepare you now....we normally would meet up at the Publix on 44/437 around 9am or so and head out. I have to get a Ultimate Sub for a beach trip. Stay in touch with me.

That helps a ton - thank you so much! I honestly didn't even realize that registration was optional, or that the speedway was where the vendors set up, or so many other things. (Their website is pretty lacking.)

What kinds of things came with the registration that you weren't interested in doing? I've seen mention of a parade, but again, not many details about it. Is that part of the registration?

I'm not saying registration is optional, that kind of sounds like you can participate in everything that is going on. You can't. Registration gets you access to all events, show and shine, raffle drawings, parties, meet and greets, scavenger hunt, ect. They have a lot going on that you can only gain access to if you are registered. Not sure about the parade. Maybe you have to be registered if you want to ride/drive in the parade.

From what I have done in the past. The 5K run is open to anyone. The vendor show at the speedway is open to anyone, $10 admission fee and you have to park outside. If you are registered you can park inside the speedway (free admission), and can do the obstacle course they have built in the infield. The lap around the track I believe is an extra cost.

The driving on the beach is the same. It is open to anyone, driving anything. Still going to cost $20 whether you are registered or not. I have a get in for free pass, so I plan accordingly to go on Saturday to people/Jeep watch without every Jeep in Daytona being on the beach at one time like you will see on Sunday.

Hope this helps some. If you have more questions, ask away. I or someone will try to fill in the blanks and hopefully it may help someone else reading the thread.

If trying to drive into the Speedway for obstacle course/vendors, kno it will take u about 30-45 min to get in, unless maybe early. Obstacle course is fun, but is it worth $80? I say nay, but if u partake in all the included events, then yes. I'm still debating myself. Think I'd rather do my own trail run then drive the beach/beachside.

It's really cool went in 2019,stayed 3 days and 2 nights, great way to get a sense about a lot of aftermarket parts and how they look in real-life.I did a few after market Mods in the subsequent months after the show.A lot of Jeep show up from all over.I know this year it's April 25 until I believe May 1.It's worth the drive I travelled from the northeast.I have a 3'' lift probably wouldn't drive down again but It was worth the experience having done it once.
