We did one a couple of years ago in the Branson area. Made for a nice day and the rest of the weekend in Branson. Daughter and son-in-law brought their Jeep also. For me the most fun was running into a couple of friends I hadn't seen in years that work some of the Jeep Jamborees.

So, would I pay to attend another one.........maybe, maybe not. I am not anywhere new to Jeeping but still had some fun.

Sorry, I was referring to the regular Jamboree's. I am not a trail guide for the Adventure Academy's. I have heard they are very informative and fun, but they are more of a beginner type class on how to use your Jeep.

I started going to these back in 2014. Some people love them, some people hate them. I have had a lot of fun attending them, and now am a trail guide for the Big Bear Jamboree that is in May. Personally, I like them because of all of the people you meet, from all over the world. In addition, the food is great, and the comradery is over the top. They have gotten expensive, but what hasn't? All of the trail guides are volunteers, we do get a room comp'd and some gas money (which doesn't cover it for my gas guzzler!! LOL) but overall I have so much fun and I get to see old friends that I don't see except at this event. I have been to several other Jamboree's, but the Big Bear one is the most fun and is in my backyard, so I am a bit bias.

It comes down to personal choice, you should try one, if you don't like it, nothing lost.....

I've been to the one at Hollister and the Rubicon. These are beginner friendly events with a lot of information. The Hollister one was way more beginner friendly and had more spotters and went over way more things. It was a good time. The Rubicon adventure academy, they tell you there will be less spotting and going over things as most people who sign up for the Rubicon have done an adventure academy or have offroad experience. They still have spotters on the trickier things. It's a good time, the meals that are included are also very good.

You can go to Hollister any time you want for $5 and there isn't a hard trail there (except Tank Traps which is only for buggies, unless you want to roll over and winch every body panel over rocks)

Hard to recommend for $500 no matter how good the pizza is. Honestly it's a good park to go as a total beginner and just teach yourself. Pretty hard to get stuck there.
