So I had a good friend come up to me yesterday evening and wanted to talk. So he is a Jeep guy and has been for a long time while I am really new to it all. He pulled me aside at our club meeting and said hey I have to tell you I am so Envious of you. I said why. He said I have been looking at your truck every time you come to the meeting and I am just so envious as I want one so bad. I said well maybe now is the time to sell your old jeep or trade it in with the insane prices. He said I did but when I went to price out what I wanted it was like over 50K. I told him well either you gotta bite the bullet or look at a lesser model if you don't really need all the Rubicon stuff, etc. Perhaps he will show up with one.

Also what is it with folks parking next to my truck are they jealous or something. I go out of my way to park way out in the middle of nowhere and always someone comes park next to me. I just found I had a dent in my door which came from someone else door. That really pissed me off cause I am parking way out there to stay away from folks and yet someone has to park by me and then bang my truck with their door. This evening we went get some Mexican food and I parked out where there was no one. Literally 40 empty spaces and plenty of empty spaces close to the restaurant. My mother in law ask why I was parking so far away. I said I don't know either cause someone will come out here and park next to me. She said that is ridiculous you are to far away. My wife laughed and chimed in we'll see. Sure enough we come out from eating and there is not a car parked next to me but a friggin big white box truck. No other cars anywhere around. My wife started to laugh and my mother in law was just mumbling why ? I told her yep that is what I always ask why.

I've seen that for years, no matter the vehicle I drive. Saw it with my Silverado, my Javelins, my Eagle, whatever. I try to park way out where there aren't other vehicles and like my wife always says "when we come out someone will be parked right next to us" and she's right more than 75% of the time. There are spots 1/4 as far away from the door, but nooooo - someone parks way out and not with an open spot between us (I'm talking where there are 2 dozen or more empty spots in a row) - they park next to me.
At least with the JT they're less likely to hit the side of my truck than when I drive one of my cars with the body curves - they'll hit the centers of the doors first.

In NY it's not a pleasant experience. I'm either coal rolled or get the classic hemi fly by daily. Sometimes I wish I still had my JL just stay under the radar.

I get the Hemi thing all the time. Never a time when I am not on the beltway or freeway or someplace when someone in a Dodge or Ford or Tundra doesn't come up along side, stay there for a short bit looking over and then blast on the accelerator while I am still puttering along at 65 (Trying to conserve Fuel). I get some good laughs out of that stuff.

I end up parking next to lonely trucks in the back of parking lots simply because it's a lot easier than trying to squeeze into those 3-4 open spots (but single open spots) closer to the door. You just beat me to the same spot I was going to park anyway!

Still, like bathroom urinals there's no reason to sidle up next to someone - if there's 3 or more open spaces just take the middle one.

Never been one to be jealous of other people's rides only because I was already driving what I wanted, my 95' Jeep Wrangler YJ. Love my Jeep. My friends with their Infinities or one with a Hummer H2, or Ford Raptor, Dodge Rams, I'm like meh....BUT when the JT's first came out, I think that was the first time I've ever been jealous or envious of someone else's ride. Seriously, it drove me nuts, but now I've got one and am happy and I still got the YJ to boot.

To the OP, I bet you could sell your current ride for not much less than you could buy a Jeep from Gupton for.

Yea I have been offered close to $43,000 for it but they don't have Mojito and I couldn't afford a Mojave (LOL). I like what I have done to my JT
