Are you saying that your dealership knew that the axle had been re-geared, but still offered to replace it under warranty? Never heard of that before.
No kidding - especially since the re-gear itself could have caused the bearing issue.
The shop that did it could be at fault.
So someone else does work on a differential, swapping out parts, and Jeep assumes responsibility?

They didn’t know it was re-geared.

I told them it was, after they offered to replace the rear axle.

I knew that I was voiding the warranty on the rear diff when I re-geared the Jeep so I’m not mad about it ?

No they didn't know it was re-geared. I told them it was after they offered to replace the axle.

Update: 6MT Mojave, 5.13 final drive, 37" Ford spec KO2s on 17" Method Bead Grip wheels 0 offset.

After replacing the pinion bearing the truck still makes noise on decel but it's definitely less noisy than it was. I'm the only one that notices it, it's very subtle.

I drive the truck like I stole it, on and off road... Trailer anything and everything under 7k lbs (I know I know)...

Race Jeep parts make Race Jeep noises. I've had no issues with the drive train other than that, and that was self-inflicted so I'm cool with it.
