What’s up guys, a bunch of us in the San Diego Jeep club got together the day after Christmas to go run valley of the moon. I threw the drone up a few times to get some footage. It’s a very fun trail, check out the video.

This video and your JT specifically have me anxious to get mine.
I have a Hydro Blue on the way with Black Flares.

Really Cool Drone coverage. Thanks for sharing

I gotta ask,
Does the 4 Door Wrangler not have lockers? It seems like his front tires were not pulling on what appeared to be some fairly easy obstacles

Nicely done Glen. I lived and wheeled in SD/SoCal/Johnson Valley for ~35 years. Beautiful area of the county.

I miss the Los Coyotes Indian Reservation days.

I didn’t see it on the FunTreks app. Is it on any other offroad apps? Looked like there was a bypass for the big ledge, would a non lifted JT with experienced driver be ok?
Heres a link for the trail : https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/...2 mile moderately, used from October until May.

I did the trail completely stock in my last JT, I used the rubi rails a few times but you can make it for sure make it through, although I would not go alone. If you decide to come down to san Diego and try it let me know I may be able to go with you.

Heck yeah, I love the blue so much, I really wish I would've done the pained top though. Thank you I'm gonna try to keep improving the vids.

So the deal with that wrangler was when he got to the trail his 4 wheel drive stopped working, something to do with the FAD unit I think. So he was doing that trail on 3 wheel drive. nice job catching that

I did pay the $1000 premium to get my roof color matched. I think it looks good with both the black and blue roof.

It just looked like a really well setup vehicle, that was having issues with something it should not, and then I caught the wheel just not turning.

I swear some of the electronics that are designed to make things better, end up causing issues.
It's one of the reason's I like the simplicity of the TJ. Breaks tend to be mechanical.

I never get tired of seeing more of east county.

I *might* be in SoCal again from Jan 21 to 30
Pre-covid, I use to travel back to SoCal/San Diego about twice a month for work. I'd usually take a few days off while there to visit family, friends, and occasionally wheeling/riding shotgun.

Both of my son's live there, and my daughter is moving from Anchorage, Alaska, back to San Diego today.
