Update: Limped across Utah to Vegas. Then limped Vegas to Oceanside. Truck needed to be coaxed up every incline, sometimes dropping to 38 mph in 4th gear to get over the peak, but it made it with no new problems.

Caught some sleep, and took my buddy out today. Some time in Camp Pendleton then a beach crawl on “The Strand” and seafood in Del Ray.

I’m going to get the cables and use Jscan to clear the codes, and hope I lose the limp. If not, I’ll try to get a dealer to set things right. Once the truck is set, I’m going to find a few trails in this area to camp on. Just have to look through some OverlandX and TrailRecon videos to get some ideas.

Bummer about the trails, but glad you made it safe. Maybe on the way back if you get those codes sorted out?
