BlackHorse Roll Bar

FIRST: This ISN’T a roll bar, if you go over, this will not save you, but that’s what they call it.

With that said, the quality of this thing is EXCELLENT.

It came with the Tonneau mounts, but I think it’ll have to. I’m pretty sure it’s a Tacoma bar with the mounts added to give it the height for a Gladiator. It will not work with the OEM Tonneau though or any Tonneau that goes over the bed rails. I just ordered a Tyger Tonneau that sits on the rails and will advise how it fits. There’s no instructions for the mounts either, I’ll say that with the rail system, there’s no drilling, it bolts right into the rail system.

I installed the mounts first then assembled the bar to them on the truck.

I haven’t decided on what I’m going to do with the side panels yet, I’m not a huge fan of all the laser cut logos.

I wasn’t going to install the basket but I’ll probably put it on to see before deciding.

As of right now I don’t think I have Garage door clearance to install lights on it.

That really looks like it would work with a cover.. it just wouldn't "roll" up past it. But it should sit on top of it.

I have the mopar soft as well. That was what I was thinking that it would sit-in those channels. Wouldn't be able to roll up past it but it would sit.

I love the look of this one. But I have to have a cover. I put expensive stuff in it all the time.

The MOPAR cover goes OVER the top of the bed rail, and its more than just canvas, there's a thick weather strip that helps it hold to the bed.
the Tyger one I have ordered is probably an inch narrower and sits ON the bed rail. I could probably get it to shove in there but it won't sit right.

Ya I really want a cover also, I was actually going to get a similar mount fabricated but these arrived with the bar. I figure it's cheaper to throw a Tyger cover on than getting a mount fabbed (that would need to be pretty big to fit correctly.

I hope my scientific diagram helps the visualization of this mystery.

well, this may go BAD really fast...

I'm building a JPs Chinese knock-off PRO-6 for on the 'roll-bar'
7x5" Cree LEDs, 5x pointing straight forward and 2x at a 30 degree angle.
IF this works, I'll have a whole 1" clearance in my Garage.
?
LOL, we'll see...

First half done, rest of the lights arrive Saturday.

I am going to roll in a couple soda cans in your garage that you are going to have to drive over LOL j/k

Maybe since you are building it, why not think of adding some brackets at the corners that would allow you to raise it and lower it or fold it/unfold it ? Maybe even add a small motor and connect it to the ON/OFF switch relay circuit wiring that you would already have for the lights? It might not be a lot of work actually... think about it. 1 inch clearance is cutting it too close if you drive over a soda can or some debris then you would be damaging your lights
