Jscan 12+8 pin connector on 2025 Gladiator Mojave X

I recently attempted to connect the 12+8 pin harness on my new 2025 model and noticed a large silver module obstructing access—something that wasn’t present on my 2024, despite both vehicles having the Alpine stereo package. It appears the amplifier or a related component may have been relocated forward, making the connector area much harder to access. Has anyone else observed a change in component placement on the 2025 models?

The only thing I knew of was a AMP bracket for the premium audio that got in the way. I have a base 2025 Sport with no premium audio and there is nothing in the way. My 2022 Rubicon with Alpine Audio had the amp in the way.

No clue as to why your 2024 had nothing in the way since you claim to have the Alpine Audio.

I'm curious. What model was your 2024? Was it an X version? My 2024 JT Rubicon-X has all kinds of stuff in the way that was not in the way on my 2023 JT Rubicon, both with the Alpine system. As mentioned, pics would be a big help.

Are you sure the object jammed up in there isn't some kind of dealer installed tracker or other such garbage?

Both vehicles have the same Alpine setup, so I may be misremembering how the 2024 was configured. What I'm seeing now actually matches your photo pretty closely. Once my bypass cable arrives, I’ll take another look. Honestly, I was pretty tired last night, so that may have affected my perception as well.
