You missed the point, you are talking apples (JL) and trying to apply it to oranges (JT) 2 similar but different use cases.

And I was clarifying that my glad diesel indeed has iron knuckles

I understand the the JL and JT are different vehicles with many similarities. But the fact the some JLUD owners have iron knuckles and some have aluminum, which leaves questions. Up to the discontinuation of the diesel, JLUD owners reported different knuckle material eventhough the same years or different.

My wife's 21 JLURD was aluminum knuckles. My 22JTRD has iron knuckles.

There was some confusion on the Wrangler forum of the difference between knuckles and inner Cs. With several reporting iron knuckles by sticking a magnet to the inner C.

Hmm, glad I caught this thread, just got my '22jtrd back from two weeks in the shop, had my passenger ujoint self destruct unexpectedly. Thankfully under drive train warranty. They basically rebuilt the whole passenger side of the axle, including knuckles and hub from the diff housing out. I just stuck a magnet on all the major pieces I could reach on both sides (for comparison), they all stick so I'm on iron parts.

Yes, the gladiators all seem to have iron knuckles.
It's the JLD that seems to not have a clear pattern on trim that has the iron vs aluminum knuckles.

The JLURD I bought axles from had aluminum knuckles. But the JL forum, many members say they have aluminum.

This was just an OBTW thread about the difference in I noticed with JLURD front axle and gladiators
