JT Parts that can or have failed on the trail. (what replacements should we carry?)

So, as summer gets kicked off, I'd like to have a few parts, within reason, to carry with on my trail adventures. I have an excellent tool setup, but I'm guessing that having a universal for the front and the rear may be a good idea, extra shock, any steering linkages? etc. I've got a fairly comprehensive tire repair kit, and spare fuses, silicone, duct tape and so on. I'm looking for those potential JT weaknesses or anything that any of you may have replaced. I'd like to stay focused on "Parts" not tools, thanks in advance.

P.S. I have great towing Ins too.

Haven’t had any wheeling failures in my JT yet but sure could have used a spare disco link on several excursions with my Wranglers. But you can certainly live without it on the trail.

I sheared off the bolt on a sway bar end link on Cliff Hanger a few weeks ago. I heard something loose and missed what it was. It sheared because it was loose.

A good strap would have held it in place with the bolt that was left. I tried large zip ties but they broke. I had a strap with me but just ended up leaving it disconnected. So, lesson is carry some good straps. They can fix a lot of stuff temporarily.

It was a front link. I didn't have it disconnected at the time. After market lift. It wasn't a quality problem with the lift, it just came loose and leverage broke the bolt.

The cool thing about Moab is that I went to Dixie Off Road and found one in a bin full of used end links that would work. Came off a JL so the bolt was a little shorter but it worked for $20. Not a bad deal.

I drove carefully with the broken link disconnected back to the campground. I could have used a ratchet strap and probably held it in place but it wasn't completely necessary. Ratchet straps are pretty handy for lots of broken things.

Another thing to consider bringing along if you hit harder trails are spare axle shafts. I replaced my stockers with RCVs and chromoly. If you have room you can carry the stock ones with you.
