New member here. Just wanted to come say hello. Last week I bought a 2021 Gladiator Willys with the EcoDiesel engine and I’m loving it. Anyone else near Vancouver, WA?

Welcome and congrats on a nice ride! I went from a gasser to diesel in 23 and haven't looked back. Super strong, reliable, great mileage and can pull just about anything.

Howdy Neighbor, just live up the street in Bellingham. I too got a Ecodiesel Gladi a few months ago. We just got back from Moab. Took it on the temp Honor Badge trail. Rode with the wife in her Bikini Blue 2020 jlu the other 4 days.

Towed about 3,000lb ish trailer there and back. Put my ol' 33" Falkin to1's with 65k on them to pull the trailer. Got 16.9 most of the way. Pulled it down to about 12 when we tried to do a 80mph leg. Never short of get up and go. I get avg 24-25 around with the 33's and almost the same with my 35's that came with the deal, if I don't go slow much.

Beautiful new Jeeps you have there. So far, i cant be more happy with mine. Got it about 6mo ago with 16k miles. Think im about 35 now, ;^)

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys. I’ve driven diesel trucks for work, but never actually owned any diesel vehicle. I’m so happy I test drove this pre owned diesel Gladiator after driving a brand new 3.6 pentastar model. I liked them both, but for me the diesel was IT. There’s that moment when you just know.

To the ecoDiesel owners out there, anything I should know? Anything to look out for in particular or any modifications you recommend/ don’t recommend? I’m familiar with the diesel world in general and I’ve done my homework, but I’m still new to the Gladiator platform.

Congrats on the purchase! I'm not too far from you. I've got a 21 diesel and have really enjoyed it. I've had it all over the west and as far east as Iowa (twice) without any real problems. If you plan on doing any halfway decent wheeling, then you're going to want a skid plate for the fuel filter. It does have a skid plate from the factory, but it's more of a suggestion. If it takes a hit, it can crack the housing. ASFIR makes a fairly good one that's not too expensive.

As for the diesel, just make sure you do regular maintenance and maybe add a fuel additive to help the fuel pump and you should be good. This is the third-generation eco diesel. They fixed a lot of the issues the second gen was having. It's not perfect, but it's a lot better.

Thanks for the tips! I did notice the fuel filter housing looks particularly vulnerable. I saw at least one company makes a skid plate, and another made a a bracket to raise it.
