Kenda Klever R/T KR601 35x10.50R17

Hi everyone, time for new tires on my 21 jeep wrangler diesel, we live in NW AZ some of the year, lot of rocks and more rocks, and of course lots of sandy washes. Are the 35x10:50x17 wide enough for sand and silty offroading? If some could show the tread width on a tap measure that would be great, im running 285x70x70 right now, I dont want to go any skinnier. Some of the photos of the kenda look really sikiny.

Where in NW AZ? I have land SE of Yucca.
10.50 is about an inch narrower than 285 @ 11.50. You might like 35x11.50 better. That’s what I run and they’re great in all terrains. I have Falken Wildpeak R/T

We live 20 miles east of kingman and about 5 miles north of I40. I did have a shop here order in the 35x10:50x17 tires so I can check them out, but if there skinnier then my 285 tires i probably won't go with them, wish they came in 11:50 but i don't think they do. We looked in Yucca and like it, but to hot over that way at times, we are at 4200ft on a 40 acre plot, we still might go back and fourth to oregon. I think my perfect size tire for me would be a true 34x11:50x17 tire.
