Couldn't tell if this was a serious complaint or not, but after 11 pages I get the impression it's not a joke.
Me too. I really thought he'd laugh it off after a while, and run out of material. The continued and more and more hyped posts suggest a therapist visit is in order.

The AJT thing is such a joke. It's what, 1 mm smaller, AND makes the key less convenient? SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

I went to get a key replaced for one of my bikes (shown in one of my photos), because it's worn. As all keys do, some very fast. They had no blanks for it, have to be ordered. The key said he could maybe make it better by cleaning it up in his machine, and did. Now it works on both sides. Keys suck.

I just wish the center console and glovebox had electric locks and no keys, so they'd just be unlocked when I want them to be. Some motorcycles now lock and unlock the side and tail luggage with the alarm, as life should be. Why can't my $55k rock limo do that?

Bring on the rants, I have a slow work day in front of my PC!

so just for more context, and really how not only the people behind the fob should be ashamed, but very embarrassed...

50-60 years ago that computer that filled a room we now put one on our wrist, and it's no bigger than any other watch, probably a stronger computer too...but our key fob that does two things needs to be 8 times bigger and heavier???? seriously people, it's a joke
if i were Jeep, i'd want the person(s) responsible for this fobs head, i'd want to have them fired, seriously, and then post the details with an apology to this forum, it's that big an oversight for a first jeep truck launch in 27 years...awful miss :)

too much to ask?
Wish it was funny, but look at that disaster, that is the current solution, smaller, lighter, thinner than the actual Jeep fob and it's still massive. Thank you for pointing that out. All that giant chunk of plastic does is lock/unlock doors and allow a button to be pushed once inside the door. And this is 2020 eh? That is the joke my friend. Where that giant chunk of plastic is...should be something about 1/5th the size and weight. Look at an iphone for reasons why. A minimalist person, and there are plenty of us out there, who can throw 55 lbs of home/meals/optics/weapons on back and take off into the bush for a week solo...has a hard time stuffing that ginormous fob into the pack as well lol...never mind into your pocket for every day life...where maximum simplicity and comfort for a personal on body carry item should be at the forefront of design. It's a huge miss. But as many many many jeep owners have shown...i'm not alone. ;)

And ya, someone needs a life lol, that's a bad meme, i'd applaud a good one, but yours shows exactly the problem. Now photo shop the actual fob in there lol. Just remember...it only has two functions.
lol, some people do struggle with a + b = c sometimes. And now you've made a meme showing that haha

so, your happy to leave full access to all the contents of your glovebox, center console, and behind the seats of your gladiator to any dealership or install tech etc.?

also, the ajt fob is thinner, lighter and smaller, you're only showing the overview, having them side by side and you'd probably not have made that meme as you'd know the difference is greater than you're making it seem with your meme

and these two giant messes have only two functions, and they are a highly carried item on a person, daily, all day etc. so while applaud AJT for helping, it's still only a band-aid, i had no problem purchasing band-aid just like my wallet is still open for anyone else who comes up with a better solution or a full blown fix ;)
keep trying boys, as said before...it's indefensible, so if you like to lose a lot, keep comin ;)

that key fob would have made sense in a time when one computer filled an entire room, lmfao, this is 2020, like 50-60 years later lol, this is progress eh? i'm dying:CWL:

Third button, lay on ground with security blanket and kick stuff until Jeep sees it my way.

Man, I really hope this is all a big troll and not really what it seems.

Also, Dan, your memes have resulted in a lot of laughter. Though you were a split second away from owing me a new keyboard.

If you can't see it, after 12 pages of posts, this thread is called "Key Fob Follies" for a reason. Some have an issue about the size of the key fob and are more concerned about it (and the ½ inch extra width) than the greatness of their Gladiators and what they've done with them, to them and where they've taken them.

This thread is not to support Key Fob Derangement Syndrome - it's to help them "see it" by poking fun at it hence, "KEY FOB FOLLIES"

Lol, take the apple watch and put it against all those fobs there. No fob available today should exceed the size of the apple watch. End of story. 2020 is a long ways from 1960. ;)

The Watch takes effort to use, the fob can be operated blindly in a pocket or just hanging from your belt. I never look at the fob, but have to hold up the Watch and actively USE it. End of story.

lmao, are you suggesting there's a winner there? i bit my tongue at the 2014 ram fob but it's tear drop well tapered sleek and the fact it stuck itself in the dash...kept me onside, this monstrosity stepped over the line, fca/jeep pushed me too far, now i fight back, those sumbitches annoy me everyday when by 2020 technology i should be thinking fondly of them every day...and thankful, but nooooooo

yes, most of us can operate all our various body parts blindly without looking...and that's what this fob is, like a second dink to play with, albeit a bit smallish, more like a pocket vagina i guess, maybe i should stop complaining and play with it more?

i just wanted a jeep truck, not an additional appendage

So that's another reason to make it big you're saying? Now we have three reasons. Keep talking, the fish are restless.

i might be onto something, if it could do more, like perhaps a pocket vagina, then the size of it makes sense, it is nearly big enough to be able to handle calculations for lunar landings or possibly cook dinner? but to unlock door and allow a button push? hell naw
