Washington Largest tire for stock Willys Sport Gladiator.

This will probably get many who will tell me to look at other posts but I tried that and did searches too. It seems the search depends a lot on how one words it and I received numerous "no results found".
What I am looking for is the largest tire size / diameter and width that will fit on a stock (unlifted) Jeep Gladiator Willys Sport with 17" rims.
I would like to do a lift but that is an expensive item and I really don't need it as I don't do things like rock crawling. also, I am of an age where a lift would make it more difficult to get in. I do like finding back roads and reasonably easy trails. I would just like to go oversize on the tires with an aggressive AT tread.

results vary based on what you mean by "fit"

are you okay losing some of your turn radius? are you okay losing some of your articulation? are you for or against poor man's beadlock?

The standard answer is 285/70r17s are going to be the biggest you should go.

But if you don't offroad, don't care about even tire wear, and don't mind no longer turning your wheel to full lock: 35x12.5s will fit.

All that being said, you posted this in the wrong subforum, this is a marketplace for selling things.

Sorry, I thought I had it in the correct one. Again. it seems it is hard to find what you want here. Either that or I am too new to it and am ignorant. That aside, thank you for the info. I do want to retain full function of the turn radius as I often pull a trailer too. After I set up camp then I just might head out to see where some of the nearby trails go. I am willing to go anywhere the stock Gladiator will go so I want full articulation as well..

I'll add in, 285/75/R17's have been shown on here to fit, lock to lock, and at articulation, on a stock gladiator sport/willys sport/willys/etc. It's essentially a 34" tire.

Thanks. I bought the Gladiator used and the previous owner put MTs on it. I'm guessing for looks as inspections showed it had likely never been taken off road. The MTs are noisy and they don't seem to track well. They didn't even go above the stock size either which I could not understand this as if they were going for looks, why not go a bit larger? That said, I gave it a baptism in mud as soon as I could.

I did no know that. The dealer told me otherwise. I thought that a lower or mid tier configeration came with either AT or all season tires. I am new to the Gladiator and although I did some research and decided I would want one I did not go into every little item. I had been researching new Gladiators when this one came up for sale in my town and the dealership made the deal one I could live with. For information this was a 2021 model with quite low mileage.
