Ok I’m sure there’s enough advice for removing. But as far as preventing? How about a pool noodle? Cut a 1/3 section from the length and then stuff it in just enough to not see it driving buy.
Only need to keep this in for the leaf falling season. Or maybe thru the winter to keep out snow and ice.

I actually went out and bought a yard stick and, sho 'nuff, that did the trick. Geeze were there a LOT of leaves in there 😲😲😲
