I would shop marketplace for OEM personally or a used set of oracles or other decent brands. I am going to be at what that bundle is for all those lights In Oem using market place/eBay and buying from JL owners. Takes some patience but the quality and light patterns are great. Plus they are plug and play

I have a set, work great, good light. The smoked tailghts look a little dim, but they are bright enough. And they were plug and play. Mine came with adapter harnesses to plug into the factory harness

But would they pass certain state and federal laws?
You say "bright enough" - have you looked up the standards and checked?

But for the generic answer from me -
I'd personally skip cheap-ass packages from China or even cheap-ass lighting from the USA. It takes effort to make them right, it takes time and money.
I'm not a fan of cheap packages. They almost never actually meat regs in the US let alone the EU. They can't possibly make them and go through that process and sell them so cheap.
Lighting, like brakes, is not a place I cheap out (although sadly, many people on the internet do)
Ignore the "DOT" stamping on cheap lights - it's too often meaningless if you do the homework.

Sadly, people do whatever and claim the light is good for them so it must be ok for everyone, safe and legal.

So don't get rear-ended and get sued for your tail lights not meeting California standards.

Don't get into a tangle with the wrong person and a great attorney for headlight issues.

I know, this is a horrible forum to speak truth about lighting as the forum belief is that if it works and I like it, it's good. Other people and facts be damned.

I don't like to risk myself or the health and lives of others on cheap stuff.
That's my take on it - and yes, we were asked for opinions! LOL. Personal experience and research.
