i’ve got an overland; i’ve got the stock tires/wheels, i’m thinking when i replace the tires (maybe sooner) i want to go bigger (35s). i like the overland wheel so most likely just going to upgrade the tires. this is going to be for cosmetics; it’s my DD and i will prob never go off-roading, and if i do it’ll be light off roading.

should i get the 2” mopar lift or go with a leveling kit to give me the height?

i’m pretty mechanically inclined so i’m pretty sure whatever i get i’ll be able to DIY.

any advice is greatly appreciated. if anyone has any experience going to 35s with no lift on stock overland please chime in as well.

The best way to remove the rake, and give you proper tire clearance for off-road, is to have both. You can just do a leveling kit to remove the rake and use larger tires on stock wheels, just know you’ll feel a little rub here and there if you do take it off the pavement in some technical stuff.

i don’t mind the look of the rake, just want a more aggressive look overall—will 35s work with no lift? just some rubbing in off road situations?

will 35s make a difference is ON road driving comfort?

The leveling kit will remove the rake and help with clearance on sharp turns. You’ll lose the rake but gain a better turning radius.

You can always try bigger tires. If they rub a little, and you don’t mind that, then you can save $. If it does then you can upgrade to a leveling kit and maybe lift it down the road.

The best upgrade my lift made was the stiffer feel. I loathed the bounciness of the stock suspension. After lift it controls bumps and voices better and stays planted in corners versus rolling everywhere. If you are daily driving I suggest replacing shocks if you don’t do a lift. At least drive one with aftermarket shocks and see how you like it.
