Light bar + plastic bumper

Has anybody tried mounting a light bar to the Mojave plastic bumper? I am trying to keep as much weight off the front of the truck as possible. I know I should buy aluminium stubby( Eventually I will ) But for now I would rather Invest that money in lights. And use the bumper that I have.

Not to the bumper itself... you'll get horrific bounce. Diode Dynamics sells a bracket and Baja Designs has a kit with a 30" OnX6+ that will turn night into day... both use brackets that mount in that little space between the bumper and grille.

Mopar makes a mount kit 82215428 that mounts to frame you need to cut slots thru piece between bumper and grille. Can mount light bar too.

It should be fairly easy to fab up a bracket to securely mount a light bar to your bumper. If you don't have the tools, time or ability a fab shop or friend could help you out.

That looks like what I want, do you know the dimension between the 'ears' when the brackets are installed (lightbar width) ?

I do not have measurement because I’m still waiting for my gladiator to be delivered but looking at how it mounts should be just under frame width
