LineX painting the gladiator hood : opinions needed

So I want to install a solar panel on the hood of the JTRD but before I go to the trouble, I wanted to ask opinions.


1: I am eventually going to LineX the entire car. White color if available. Probably a year out from doing it

2: was considering a First step might be to LineX the hood and hood hinges and then mount the solar panel on the linex via 3M industrial tape. Think it will work?

any LineX paint people out there? Does it fade? I assume darker colors might but white may not. Any opinions?

Anyone with LineX or Kevlar paint jobs use hood mounted solar?

I had the front bumper on my Power Wagon Line-Xed the same color as the PW. Over the years. Part of the bumper ( tubes) faded to a gold. Where I park the PW at home. That part of the bumper got the most sun light. Also, the the lining was thin in that area. Have one friend that Line-Xed his whole PW. It's still going strong.

I like the idea and would love to do something like this. My concern is how much additional heat it would hold under the hood. What are your thoughts about it?

It's been done before. I know of a few who have done it. Don't know anything about the heat.
