I have 2 nice coolers and I'm disappointed to learn they are slightly too tall to fit in the bed with my hard cover (Bakflip MX4). Another reason for a soft cover, but I just wanted the security of a locked hard cover.

Looks like I have about 15.75" max. 15.5" would be safe to be able to slide a cooler under all the hardware.

Use would be daily groceries AND trips, like surf fishing/camping. So it definitely needs to be a decent hard cooler. I was hoping for something between 50 and 70 quarts, which would be a relatively low profile cooler.

Anyone have any photos of their coolers clearing a situation like this? Models of coolers around that height? Any helpful tips and tricks?

Thanks!

Give a search, there's an entire thread on this from last summer. Had a few good options for ones that fit

I have one of the old school Coleman stainless steel coolers that holds ice really well and fits under my tonneau. I think it is only about 40 qts thought. I also have an Iceco JP40 that fits but i think I have more headspace than you (probably close to 17").

Edit: just checked and the stainless cooler is 16.5".
