I would like to keep my freedom panels and just have the rear portion be convertible with slide out windows....
I wouldnt pay more than $300 for it though.
You can install only the freedom panels. At least you can on the JK, so I can only assume the same for the JL/JT.

Wow so much hate for the man bun and soft top. I love the convenience of two latches and push it back. When you live in a rainy area it's great! As for the man bun, I did a top knot when my hair got long enough and carrying my parang around I was told I look like a large cannibal from Borneo. I should also note the only people objecting to it were old people. This of course made me tie it up like that every time I knew I was going to interact with someone older. Hey if you are going to comment and you think anyone cares then you can't be surprised when people like me purposely annoy you haha.

I think you misunderstood.
I doubt I will ever take the rear portion off as it is for a couple of reasons.
I do run without the freedom panels every chance i get.
Cheers!

I’m wondering how many bugs you can collect with the soft top sitting above like that + the fact their in your cab when you close it up
My first opportunity to take the doors off for a couple days coincided with our pollen bloom.... My interior was absolutely dusted green, and got a few bird bombs as well. We ain't worried about bugs....
It other words, "Its a jeep thing". hahhaha

Not all old farts are bothered by the top knot or pony tail. I'm 61 from the long hair era and if I could I still would. I also like the convenience and ease of just throwing the top back. It doesn't help with the already dismal aerodynamics though so I only do when running around town lower speeds.

Well
Just shave it balded and never look back
well that day may come but I still have near full coverage. It's just getting gray. Im having a hard time with that. Especially if I ever get to fulfill my dream of somehow move to saudia Arabia and get a 2nd or even a 3rd wife!

Yes this. I hate the look of the soft Mullet Top with the fiery passion of 1000 suns. It looks friggin ridiculous and I refuse to put it on my Gladiator until they make one that can go all the way down. I love my hard top. Easy to take on/off, and only takes a few more minutes than a soft top. Really not a big deal and it's quieter, plus better protection from the elements.
Uh it take 3 seconds to flip the soft top back and you don't have to twist a wrench or store it. Apples and oranges.

Only takes a few minutes to remove the hard top and not hard to store. I normally totally removed my soft top on the JKU instead of just flipping it back but even on the rare occasion I did just flip it back, at least it didn't look ridiculous. Oh yeah, and how about that resale value.

Wait the easy flip top will ruin resale value? Why?

I'm just basing it off the JKU resale value. If I still had my hard top it would of added $2000 more to my resale value.
Ummm... didn't the hard top cost 2k more?
