Hey all,
Picked up my manual rubicon and the next day noticed how 4th gear will make an evident grinding noise between 1.2k RPM and 2.7k RPM while accelerating, going away at higher speeds. In the same RPM window if I engine brake I get a whining sound, a descending boooo sound - starts high pitch and rolls off to low pitch as RPM drop. I also notice the same whining in other gears but it is very subtle. The grinding cannot be heard with the radio on but the whining can up until about volume #20.
Does anybody else experience this in their manual, is it normal? I really hope not...
Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
