I'm trying to figure out if the Baja Boss AT or AT SUV is better for my application.

2024 Sport S with Max Tow package, bone stock, primarily used to tow a camper, mild trail use and in the north so snow performance is important.

The factory tires are fine for towing the camper (4k lbs fully loaded) but not great in snow. I'm thinking the AT SUV is the best option and a slight step up over the default SL rated, but haven't seen much comparison.

It seems like the AT SUV is the right way to go to get snow and mild trail without sacrificing towing performance. The 265/70R17 / 32x10.5 size is the closest to stock Mickey Thompson has. Here are the two:

Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT SUV
XL load range
45 lbs
116T load index
265/70R17
32X10.50R17

Closer to stock in diameter and weight, slightly better load range

Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT
E1 load range
58 lbs
121Q load index / speed rating
265/70R17
32X10.50R17

Heavier, but do I need E1 load range?

Anyone with experience with the AT SUV tires for similar usage or have insight on it?

Load C is perfect for most application.
Load D,E,F etc for heavier applications or... toughness off-road.

Want smoother ride, C
Want firmer on-road steering, slightly stiffer/harsher ride, or better flat/puncture protection, Look at load D, E, etc.

Understand that LOAD rating it just that... each tire can carry the max load listed.
By load alone, no "normal" Jeep will need more than a C rated tire in terms of weight alone.
