I hate Black wheels but I could actually tolerate what you did with the first picture.
I think that one looks good.

i want to float this past you guys and gals

is this too much ? i’m out to lunch on having accent colors on the wheels. heck i’m not even sure which wheels…
Big fan of Raceline wheels, but apparently I’m the only one who actually cares about proper hub bore size and being “hub centric.” Otherwise, they’re considered/just “lug centric.” Maybe I overthink it… some…

I wanted Raceline’s “Clutch” wheels (gray) in 17x8.5 and 0 offset, but the hub bore size…

That top one you’re thinking is badass though!

Well, the darker stripes are Mojave orange, so I guess I can post this here.

I really like the subtle retro look! Hydro blue was my other top choice.

Are those factory Jeep wheels?

Thanks, I have always loved the Scrambler and really like the factory throwback stripe option for the Gladiator (not available on Mojave), but decided to go with the "other" Scrambler pattern. Since it is a Mojave, I based my selection of stripe colors on the existing orange and I like how it came out - kinda like maybe the way Jeep would have done it.

THW above is correct - they are Jeep Freedom Edition wheels, which are exactly the same as standard Rubicon wheels, but in a satin silver rather than the gunmetal grey. I almost bought a Rubicon and preferred those wheels to the upgrade. But when I chose to order a Mojave, I really didn't like either wheel choice so I got the basic black version knowing I would replace them. I hate black wheels - chalk it up to my upbringing. I considered the Mopar Jeep wheel, but they stick out even more than the Mojave wheels, and I want to achieve as much "tuck" as possible - not a fan of poke. Everyone seems to hate these wheels except me, but that is fine because it means you can buy them dirt cheap. Hell, look around long enough and someone might pay YOU to take them! :)

Cool, thanks for the responses!

I'm not a fan of poke at all either, and I've considered having the stock Mojave wheels painted. I kind of want to keep them mainly because they are so light.
I don't hate black, but it is kind of overdone for me.

So using Rubicon wheels with the different offset isn't causing you any issues with the Mojave?
I thought the reason the Mojave wheels had less offset to clear the shocks, in addition to the wider track.....

I am opposed to Black but I do like the pattern of the Mojave wheel so I’m just kinda of leaning towards getting them powder coated a Desert Tan. I mean they work for their intended purpose, and look good with 35 inch BFG KO2’s so it’ll save a little $.

Yeah, I suppose "hate" is a little too extreme. Like you said, they are overdone. I've had factory black wheels on a couple of vehicles and they were okay, but I just never left the "wheels are shiny" camp that I grew up in.

As I recall, the difference in offset is about 7mm, so not very much. I've read the same thing that says the slight offset is to clear the big shocks, but I've had absolutely no issues with my wheels. However, it IS very close in the rear and a wide 35 or 37 inch tire could be a problem. I'm still running factory Falken tires, but I plan to run al least 35s eventually. I guess that will be the moment truth.

Why don’t you find a set of the upgraded Mojave wheels. I think they’re probably the best looking factory wheel offered. Still nice and light and the correct offset for the truck.

Yeah, I do like the Mojave wheel pattern as well. I wish they were 8" wide, but I'm looking for 10.5 - 11.5 wide tires, so it doesn't really matter I guess. I just like the "pizza cutter" look with no poke.

I'm probably going to play with plastidipping the wheels this year just to try some different colors before I commit to powder coating them.

Cool, that's good to know. I do prefer the narrower 10.5 - 11.5 tires so I should be good if I do decide to go go with another wheel.
