If you had the option between Mopar performance side steps and rock hard 4x4 angled up tube steps, which one would you go with? I like both for different reasons. I like how the Mopars look a lot better and the fact they protect the fenders. However I’m concerned they might not bump out enough to block door dings, can anyone comment on that?

i like the rock hards because they stick out an inch further than the Mopar performances, but lack protection for the fenders due to the shape of the tube.

i know the Mopars don’t have body bolt mounts like the rock hards, but I would probably try to fab my own brackets to add some strength to the Mopars, just added time to weld, cost and time to make.

I can get both sliders for about the same price due to discounts I have access to, so price really isn’t a factor in my decision.

I ditched my Rubi rails for the performance rails and think they are great. Unless you plan on hard core rock crawling they hold up just fine

If I did get them I might try to reinforce the brackets and weld on new brackets that tie into the body mount bolts.

I chose Rock Hard angled up and like them. They are very strong, well made, and protect the doors from mall rats slamming their doors open. No matter where I park, someone decides that must be the ideal area and joins me.

I have the rockhard sliders that angle down. They are heavy duty and kept my doors and body from getting smashed in from a car that veered into me and I had just had them re-powder coated. The factory sliders are simple and offer some protection but rockhard sliders are on another level.

I have the MOPAR performance rock rails. I had them on my 2023 and swapped them to my 2024. They work pretty well at stopping door dings, as I had none on my 2023. I would buy them again, although I do wish they were another inch or so wider.
