Saw some numbers today and it is trending toward passing but not a guarantee yet. Seems the salaried workers are tending to vote yes, and the hourly are more voting no. We will see what happens.

Here’s the tracker for all the local unions for anyone interested.

Vote Tracker

I think Jefferson and Mack are the last two big assembly plants to vote. Warren and Sterling Heights already voted to approve it. I think sterling was around 61%. And Warren was like 84%.

Good news is it looks like Mobis came to an agreement already.

Honestly I’m just waiting for Jeep to release the pricing for the 24’s so I can determine what I’m going to get. I don’t think they’ll release any pricing until the contract is ratified.

I've been watching that tracker too after stumbling across it yesterday. Seems likely that its going to pass, even though the Toledo plant single handedly dropped it from a 79.7%-20.3% split to 66.5%-33.5% yesterday. GM is real close, they only have a like a 3% margin in favor...

Now the part that has me a little uneasy is that 60% of the workers at the Toledo plant aren't happy with the contract. If they're not satisfied with the outcome, I can't imagine they're going to be putting 100% into their job. Hopefully the 40% that voted yes work in quality control LOL. Guess that's why we have a warranty : )

This article says the Mobis employees are reporting in for work this afternoon!

If what I saw is correct I think the votes all have to be at the national uaw by the 19th so we should at least know the outcome by next week.

This is turning into a cluster….

https://www.13abc.com/2023/11/16/uaw-local-12-votes-down-tentative-deal-with-stellantis/

The jeep plant (uaw local 12) voted down the contract. Will be interesting to see how the other factories vote. Regardless though, even if the ratify the contract, the gladiators will be dead in the water until Mobis gets their deal.
I don’t believe it’s all that bad. According to documents from workers and management released this week, they have enough parts, tooling, and added capacity to put out 2024s with just a couple weeks delay from last year. I ordered a 2022 in July 2021 that I received end of Jan.

It’s not bad now that MOBIS came to an agreement but when they went on strike, it halted production of the gladiator yesterday so had this run for longer, it could have been a bigger problem.
