Mudflaps that flare out at wheel wells, rather than...

...sticking down below the frame. Anyone seen any anywhere? Similar to this? (Sorry for poaching someones pic).

I just bought a set of Fuel Vapor wheels:

And they will stick out 1.69" and I'm concerned about my paint.

Yep although it makes me laugh. Hey I'm going to be off roading and in the mud - better remember to take off the mud flaps

But seriously - for snow and slush and salt crap and road spray and dirt road mud (i.e. not real mud) I think these are great. I really wanted to get a cool color but I don't think I'm that guy so black with red letters are on their way to me - kinda looks like a rubicon accessory...?
