Hey guys, I know, first post, will do better next one. Like presenting myself or something. But I thought I'd share my experience with a product I just bought. If you guys are looking for a mount for your radios for JK/JL/JTs, I'd recommend avoiding JeepUniq products, and here is why:
Pretty disappointed. Going with a Vector mount with Ram arms & holders for the radios & different equipment instead. Which can easily be customized to have the equipment out of the way of the airbags. Though, if I was driving alone, and passenger safety wasn't a big deal, I'd definitely have kept it.
Found out about 2. with previous posts in the wrangler forum where this product is already discussed.
Hope this helps some of y'all, stay safe out there!
- 3D printed, the finish doesn't look very pro or durable. A mold and some solid plastic would be way better. But, feature over beauty for me so if it holds, not a big issue.
- The biggest issue with this is safety. The mounting location is simply dangerous. Watch NHSTA crash tests for the gladiator (same thing with the JL)

. Check passenger airbag deployment. One understands very quickly that the 200mph expansion of the airbag is going to transform your midland & Garmin Inreach sitting right in front of it into shrapnel that'll finish in your loved one. - They're getting out of most responsibilities with the small mention at the very bottom of the website "For Off-road use only.", but guess what, airbags can and should deploy off-road as well. Not to mention that the 2-5h driving going to the trail are on pavement, and I'd still like to be able to communicate with the group for example.
- Customer service is not so great. Unfriendly return policy. Shipping is at the customer's expense (fine), but so is the return (ok fine, small business, we're helping each other, etc.), but one also has to pay 20% restocking fees. So in all and nothing, for a $59 3D printed piece of plastic, one would pay about $30 in shipping and fees may they want to return it (new, unused). This is what happened to me when I realized that the mounting location was unsafe and it would put my wife in danger may anything happens and the airbag deploys. Didn't mount it, didn't try it or anything, and still $30 out of pocket.
