For best performance, yes.

You might be able to get away with shock extension brackets, but I didn’t want to go that route.

We definitely recommend it! Some customers choose to go with shock extensions in the beginning which is fine, but ultimately do not provide any additional travel so you don't truly get the full benefits of the lift. Long term it's always best to go with a new set of shocks designed for the same amount of lift being added to the vehicle!
