Hey guys, my Rubi on 37s developed a shudder/vibration at low speeds (3-15mph). Had the tires/wheels balanced, alignment done, but it's still present. I'm pretty sure it's the KM3 tires. Is anyone near Centennial and willing to let me borrow their wheel/tire setup in order to see if that's the case or if I should be looking at other components? Stock or otherwise. Free beer and dinner for ya!

I can let you borrow my stock rubicon wheels. They still have 37” Mickey Thomson’s mounted.

Silverthorne. You’d get rub at full steering or swaybar disconnected flex, but no issue with testing for tire issues.

Tough symptom to track down today. I wish we could have figured it out, but at least the tires are eliminated as possibilities. Maybe someone else has an idea. Your description of it feeling like mild rumble strips is the best way I can describe it. And I really think it’s rotational.

I enjoyed it. Just sorry we didn’t pin it down. I only know what I know, but what I don’t know is A LOT.

Have you checked out the wheel hub assembly. specifically where the assembly is mounted to the steering knuckle. Does it do it when turning or going straight?

We didn’t remove that many parts yesterday, but it’s not out of the question, that it, axle shafts, or the FAD, are involved.

Straight or turning doesn't make a difference. Up or down hill doesn't affect it either

I would be willing to bet its coming from somewhere in the hub assembly. Maybe take it apart and lubricate it really good. and see if it helps. It would be an easy place to start. (being you've already ruled out the wheels)

Thank you.

Found this video, and at 1:50 my driver front sounded like this, didn't it Dan? Am I mistaken?

I did hear that, but it seemed initially like brake pads dragging on the rotor. But if that’s the hub assembly doing that, I’ve learned something today.
