So, I went to do a tension spool on my new winch today. Had her pointed uphill in park. Put a lil tension on the line, went in and put the truck in N, got out to reel in some line. Truck should have come with it. No ah ah, not moving. Had the wife come out to steer while I guided line nicely. She says it's in auto park. I've never heard of such a thing. So, I had her put in D and ride the brakes. But really, I can't have the truck in N while I'm using the winch?

Have not read the manual but I'm thinking if you 1) set the parking brake 2) put transmission into neutral 3) put transfer case into neutral 4) start vehicle it should disable the auto park. Probably going to be in the flat towing section?

Well at least out in the woods I'll already be in 4hi/lo. Easy enough to throw the TC in N. Thanks
