Howdy all, I just purchased my first Jeep Gladiator. 2021 Sport S that only had 32K miles on it (just broken in). I need to get comfortable to the way it drives but I am looking forward to some fun. I need to do a few things to it first. First thing is a bed liner which gets installed 9/9/2026 and then nerf bars. I am still looking at nerf bars. There are so many. Anyway, I am going to enjoy this vehicle! Will post new pictures once the nerf bars are installed.

Welcome!
Nice JT!

Nothing against nerf bars….however….

Do you plan on doing any offroading or driving out the woods with uneven terrain? Moderate offroad trails? Etc

You might want to consider some ‘rock sliders’ instead. Rock sliders will be more expensive, but they’ll protect the sides of your Jeep when or if you experience certain off-roading conditions.

I remember, back in 1999 - I took my 96 Tacoma on the trails, like I had done many times before…..but this time, I drove over a little dirt berm and got high centered. The nerf bars I had on it, bent upwards and put a nasty dent into my rocker panels. After that….I got myself some rock sliders. Just something to think about. 😉

Rock sliders all the way. Need bars are more aesthetic than anything. I too bent a set out in Yuma. Asked the heaviest guy in our group to stand on em to bend em back down.

Welcome to the madness. Sliders are only the first slippery slope to modding the Jeep. Enjoy the ride.
