Hi All,

New to the forum and Gladiators, but not new to the Jeep world. I’ve had a 95 YJ, 97 TJ, 2012 and 2017 JK, 2019 JLU and now a sweet 2022 Gladiator. I actually was not a fan of the look when they first came out, but they grew on me, especially in hydro blue. So far, this is the smoothest riding Jeep that I have owned.

No rock climbing for me in the future, just overlanding and some aired down beach crawling. I will most likely keep it stock (famous last words, I know) until it is fully paid off in the near future. I am looking forward to learning more through the forum and am excited for what the future holds.

One thing I will be needing soon is a tonneau cover If anyone has any recommendations- locking with the tailgate would be preferable.

Thanks!

I have 2021 Overland - one of the first mods was the Gator hard trifold:

Gator EFX Hard Tri-Fold Truck Bed Tonneau Cover | GC34010 | Fits 2020 - 2023 Jeep (JT) Gladiator 5' Bed (60") https://a.co/d/gXNYF9S

Good quality, great fit, lockable, no leaks. Most useful mod - after my Bestop Sunriser for hardtop

I agree - I would like to have the backflip function on my Gator cover. Quite a price differential though. In practice, with the recovery gear and other supplies I stow forward in the bed, I would seldom use the function.

I think Gator is about $750 and BakFlip is $1200.
I had Bakflip on a previous truck. I went with a cheaper Amazon one like Gator and I regret it every time I use it. Some day I’ll sell this one and upgrade.
lesson learned - buy once, cry once.

I almost bought the Alien Sunshade cover on Amazon before doing research ?. Dodged that bullet!

That looks fantastic. A black grille would look great too, recon vibes. I too am quite a fan of the sunrider top, my last one lasted year round!

I really am going to do my best not to mod it, at least for a year, which should be when it is paid off. We’ll seeeeeeeeeeee ?

Haha all the best man. Just a note, the shocks on the High Altitude are literally only designed for those 20" wheels and the Bridgestone tires they have on it, so if you do swap them for all terrain's and want to go up size, you'll want to swap the shocks, otherwise the ride will not be as smooth, they dont damper to well with larger all terrains. My fox are adjustable so I have them dialed in and it drives like a sports car.

I will probably hit up Accutune when it is time for new shocks, they have been good to me in the past. I’m going to run these stock Bridgestones to the ground first.
