Thanks ahead of time. I've spent the day (now into the second day) researching, reading, playing with offset calculators and wheel size diagrams but now I need help from those with more Jeep experience than myself.

I am going 37x12.50x17 Milestar Pat MTs for sure. My initial thought was to just throw them on my upgraded Rubi wheels but many have said they will rub without spacers. These will be going on a JTR with the Mopar 2" lift.

--I am assuming this is true??

--Everyone also seems to be torn that 12.50s on a 7.5" rim is riding a fine line of safety. Some say it's fine and some say just because it works doesn't mean its safe. I don't want to be worried about a bead popping taking a turn at a decent speed. Is this safe or unsafe, would you mount a 12.50 on a 7.5" rim?

THEN I thought, might as well buy new rims then and do a full wheel combo. The only one I like with the Gator is Fuel Beast in dark tint. Now these come in a 1 or -12 offset. These being 9" wide would be more ideal for a 12.50 wide tire correct? I would also not have to deal with spacers going aftermarket wheels to prevent rubbing.

The +1 offset is 25mm (0.98") more inner clearance and extends an extra 63mm (2.48") outward.
The -12 offset is 38mm (1.49) more inner clearance and extends an extra 76mm (2.99") outward.
--these are both compared to the factory upgraded Rubi wheels.

My one issue with the Fuel Beast is the center bore is 78.10 which means I'd have to add hub rings--not a big deal I guess right?

My other desire, I am not a huge fan of tires sticking out too far past the fenders. I am sure there is a fine line with figuring out that offset. Will the +1 with 25mm more inner clearance prevent any rubbing with a 37" tire or would I have to push them further outward with the -12 offset??

Honestly, thanks a million for your replies. I know similar questions are asked all the time, I read 10 pages of threads in the tire section.....

17x9 wheel with 35x12.50 tire. -12 offset for wheel. Tires stick out an inch to inch and half. 3.5 JKS lift with zero rub.

I'm not sure your calc's are correct …..I think offset is stated in mm (millimeters), therefore 12mm would be roughly 1/2". 18mm would be roughly 3/4" and 24mm would be roughly 1"
Negative offset moves the wheel outward from the vehicle and is calculated from the centerline of the wheel.....so a -12 offset would move the centerline of the wheel inboard (toward the jeep) roughly 1/2". So, on a 9" wheel (true centerline of 4 1/2") with a -12 offset, the mating surface would be 4" in from the inside of the wheel. This is how it was explained to me
