Good day to all,
I'm receiving a new 2024 Sport or Sport S Gladiator on Monday 02/17/25 as a gift.. from a local Christian organization. Why ? I was neck deep in the Swannanoa flooding during Hurricane Helene. My 03' Dodge Ram Crew-cab 2WD SLT, saved my life.. taking me to "above water" during the peak of the disaster. I jumped into action as soon as the storm passed, using my combat medical skills, ability to drive this truck where no 2WD had traveled before
and bringing supplies from the Drop points back into the Bee Tree community.
I had a new HEMI put in it a year ago and it's a real Beauty for an 03'. It has 150K, I'm 2nd owner. It's a Keeper! (or for $ale if the Jeep di$ease infect$ me again)
These were taken on my iPhone just below my driveway. Yes, those are barns and cars going downstream. Things got much, much worse.
FEMA denied my repair claim on the truck. I took quick action to save her.. Fresh fluids were added within 72 hours, The truck survived, but needed a number of things, Including a rear-end, due to water intrusion. Some how the interior stayed dry and no water in the engine, SO, I'm going to look forward to a NEW JEEP !
BTW, I bought and built the hell out of an 1987' CJ-7. ie. Wagoneer V-8, DANA's, Mosier solid axles, Welded spiders, Reverse shackled front end, Full roll cage, wench and 5' lift. I ran 38' Super Swampers on the rocks of Tellico, N.C. and 35' BFG's on Mickey Thompson for the Streets of Greenville, S.C I can find a picture somewhere I'm sure.. that was around 1995-1999. It did make it into the 4x4 Magazine as a reader's ride.. and the infamous AWARD of ...
this is one of the Black Diamond trails, "Widow Maker" ?? from the top of Tellico, O.H.V. park (aka Murphy, N.C. I heard it was now closed.
I am a life member of the N.R.A., AMA and F.C.C. licensed General class HAM.
Looking forward to reading more on this great site.
