I am looking at the short term ability of having a non-matching spare (not because I want to, just availability).

I purchased a Sport S which comes in next week and not a fan of the silver stock wheels. Want to remove those as soon as possible. I am ok upgrading to some Rubican or Overland take-offs.

Was looking to put on 4 Bridgestone Dueler H/T 255/75R18 (The black rims from Jeep) that I found (but only 4 of them).

That would leave the 245/75R17 All–Terrain Tires as an emergency spare (like I said, for a short time).

Would that work?

You're looking at a 1.6" difference in diameter. That is quite a lot, however, if you got a flat, you could shuffle your 3 remaining tires around in order to get the smaller spare on the right front corner, which should be fine as long as you aren't in 4wd since the front axle has a disconnect when running in 2wd. I don't recommend doing it, but If you had no other option, it *shouldn't* cause any problems.

OR, just go buy a cheapo used 255/75 and mount it on the steelie for a spare.
This isn't a JL where the spare shakes its money maker and needs to be pretty.

That makes sense. You are right...certainly doesn't need to look pretty.

Thanks! Just for emergency until I find another one.
