If I buy one from a dealer several hundred miles from me and there are issues (such as eng misfire) and then do I have to go back to the original dealer where I purchased?

No. Your local dealer can handle warranty work.

I would be wary though of any extended warranty packages the finance people try to sell you. They presented them to me like I did not get to opt out. Many of those packages are dealership specific. But factory warranty is handled by any dealership. I had some screws fall out....yes I have a screw loose... of the plastic in the roll bar. My Springs dealer did the work and not the place of purchase in Denver.

Also what a lot of people don’t know is that you have up until the bumper to bumper expires to buy the extended warranty from your dealer that you purchased it from. So if you did want the longer warranty you have three years to pay for it

That's a great point. I am thinking of buying from Rob so I guess people had good experiences with him in the forum it seems.
Thoughts?

Also, I should mention. I am planning on lease so not going to worry about extended warranty unless I buy out the lease. I am guessing you can return a lease anywhere too?
