Short background. There are lots of options to do this yourself or purchase one. I am too cheap to pay someone to do something I can for a fraction of the cost (time exclude).
My previous truck had a killer fold out under the seat platform that I used more than the seats so this was my first goal. Second goal was to be light and easily removable and third no crazy welded framework or mounting legs to interfere with storage.
Light weight for dog kennel or hunting gear only was all I am after.
1/8” reinforced plywood with dual hinges to allow access and options for gear placement. I made four brackets to catch the front portion that can remain if the rear seat is reinstalled (making it easier to swap), remove four bolts and lift the platform out, install the seats and 8 bolts back in.
