I have the roadmaster base plate installed.

I’ve additionally run the wire for the roadmaster diode lights through the frame to the back for tail light set up (I shouldn't need a charge line with this set up, IE no dead battery).

My question for those that have installed the ready brute 2 system. See my pic’s of firewall in 2023 Mojave, do you have pictures of where you drilled through the firewall to run the cable? Also any pictures of how you routed the cable to the base plate would be helpful. I have crawled under the jeep a few times and have an idea, but looking for someone with previous experience routing.

By the way, since I have to cut the skid plate, I also painted it with rust-oleum bed liner… see picture, it will also help the base plate blend in vs the black base plate on a silver skid plate.

Thanks

I just complete my installation and I ran the break cable sleeve about 2.5 inches to the right of the black tab that holds the carpet in place right behind the break pedal. I then ran the break sleeve along the outside of the frame rail and slightly curved it to the center of the bumper. I also ran the break away cable on the wall inside. Of the frame rail away from anything that it could grab to the right side of the bumper. Just be sure you do make any sharp bends on either cable.
After towing it a few times I think I am going to adjust the breakaway cable closer to the right side of the bumper as that is where I have the RV side come out and will make the sling cable easier to adjust.
Overall I love the system and can not beat the mechanical break that the nsa tow bar provides.

Thank you.. this is awesome. In MD we have a front plate so I need to figure that out. I was looking at running it through a fairlead and then a plate cover so no one messes with it.

Maybe this is the best and just remove when towing

Thanks for the links I like the one that is removable even though here in GA we do not require a front plate. I like your thoughts of covering everything to keep the curious from messing with it. I chose that location since I have the Mopar metal bumper and I did not have to drill any additional holes in the bumper than necessary.
If you need just message me and I can help you with any questions as you move along with your set up.

I ran mine similar to Bakerboy. I have the rock hard bumper so a little easier to mount everything.

Incase other are interested... By the way at least the Mojave bumper has 3 sections that need to be taken apart to drill and mount cable guide. No big deal, just not a 5 minute job. The winch plate bracket worked out very nice to cover cable on bumper. Cable at firewall with blue painters tape is the emergency brake, also seen at inside firewall. The actual brake is next to it, at picture time I had not run cable through yet.

Additional pic's... The inside is almost buttoned up... will post pic's later. Once top trim is put on bumper in gap to grill and skid plate is mounted. You won't see the cables or wires and all will be protected
