In high school I worked at a gas station/garage. The one gas attendant used to sit on top of the pumps for his cigarette breaks. I guess that's why he was in his mid 30's and still pumped gas.

The flip side of that is I watched a guy clean his metal workbench off with brake clean then threw a front cover on it which somehow sparked and made a big flash. No damage except some skidmarks in his shorts.

I worked at a gas station in high school. We...meaning the manager and everyone else used to clean the bay floors with a gallon of gas and a broom to scrub it in to remove the oil and grease. Then use a water hose to wash it down a drain.
