I get a sort of grinding/rattling when coasting and pressing on the accelerator. First noticed while driving through canyons with the windows open and heard the sound reflect off the walls. I was assuming it was either drive shaft or rear diff (already had to deal with leaky rear axle so who knows what else got damaged).
At this point the dealer is useless as they want me to leave the gladiator for a few days and I don’t have the time, especially when I have to fight for a rental.
Hopefully its not something that will eventually leave me stranded.

My pinging that some on here say is normal. I use to only hear it when slightly accelerating in my neighborhood at very low speeds. And not all the time. I hear it now everywhere, when I accelerate slightly from any speed.

is it some sort of throttle body noise from the shift?

Hmm I think the best choice for all of us with this issue is to trade it in because of high trade in values or just buy an extended warranty. Theres no way an engine will last till 100k miles if it has a major issue right? I added mbi through geico and idc anymore. I refuse to trade it in because my pinging noise is only audible with the doors off and intermittent. And having spent over 12k in mods doesnt help either?, I dont want to take everything off and re install on a new one. Also, I'm worried I may buy a new one that has a bigger issue then a slight ping??????

I will try that. If it works, I will be selling this thing if I can't find a right tune to make it work the way it was suppose to. Thank you

Brief but loud rattle at the start of the vid
Mine is making this exact same sound.... just started about a week ago.

Did you ever find the source of this or have any problems come about because of this?

Mine does the same. Drive it like ya stole it for a few days. Seems to help a little.

Did you ever find out what the problem or cause was? Im now getting the exact same sound at 13k on my 22 rubi. I can replicate at 1500-2000 rpm and 20-30 mph, loud then softer and intermittent.

This is the noise I’m hearing, if I’m driving along and start to hear it I can stay at the same speed and revs and it will last for as long as I let it. Sounds and feel to me like slapping coming from the trans (3.6 auto rubicon) It’s driving me crazy

I bought my first Polaris RZR in 2013, Took it back to the dealership 5 different times for shit I thought was wrong. I finally got on an RZR forum, and a guy told me: That thing will grind, tick, knock, squeak, cut out, piss and moan. Beat the piss out of it, and if it breaks, fix it. I took his advice, and never, ever had a problem with it.

Hopefully its not the issue I had at 57K miles, failed Cam Lifters, it appears to be pretty common, check out this thread

Mostly 2020, and a few 2021. After that, not so much.

Check the manufacture dates of the cam failures and you'll find it was a big spike for the 2020 model year then dropped off quite a bit.

I have this noise currently on my 22 Rubi, between 1500- 2000 rpm happens if im giving gas or letting off in that range. Have you resolved what the cause was?

I still haven't been able to identify the cause and have just decided to drive it until it breaks as the dealership is an absolute waste of time. I did notice a correlation between the sound and the engine stumbling/cutting out while accelerating, which only happened a few times. I also noticed that it seems to manifest itself more in warmer weather. Since the weather changed I haven't had this nearly as much (under 50F) but will monitor more closely as we move into spring.

With that being said I did drive it pretty hard a few times and that seemed to help. I am not sure if this is a continuation of the issue but I did also recently start getting another weird sound from the same location, almost sounded like a supercharger winding up... This occurred as I was going down an offramp corner and accelerating. I have no idea what it is and after that my 3.6 has been running great.
