Here's something odd that I've been dealing with the last few months, and I'm looking to avoid the dealership if I can as I have zero faith in most of them at this point.
Backstory:
So, after dealing with a couple warranty items at x dealership not being correctly fixed, I decided to go to dealership y an hour away. I went in for something completely different (and leaving a note specifically) that I will come back in for the clutch recall. I have a skid plate bolt that has broken/loose tnut within in frame, and haven't gotten around to fixing it/installing a new one.
So, the dealership called me and asked me if I wanted them to cut the bolt out. I said no lol, read the note I left in the driver's front seat when I dropped it off. This is where it gets interesting. They tried to charge me for warranty work, which was work that was screwed up by another dealership under warranty. They also lied to my face and said they did the clutch warranty work and wrote it down in the service records as such. I told them that's not acceptable, and I'm not paying for it. After getting dealership x to pay for the work, I just told them I wouldn't sign anything and that they didn't perform the recall and I wasn't in there to perform said recall. Oh yeah, and they still didn't fix what they charged me for. Terrible dealership. And they also straight up lied about troubleshooting another issue as it occurred in the parking lot after driving 10 feet lol.
The Main Ask:
So, after this unknown software update for the clutch I'm assuming they did, the rev hang is horrible and my ability to rev match has been robbed from me. I will try to blip the throttle while downshifting or upshifting, and it's almost impossible now to have any sort of throttle control. So, I'll blip the gas pedal, nothing, then I'll blip again, still nothing. On the third blip, sometimes the engine revs up to 7k rpms and hangs. This is with about 25% throttle. I am at a lost as to how I can fix this and still be warranty compliant. Has anyone had this issue? I'm kind of lost as to what to do at this point, as the dealerships in my area are sub-standard.
