I have the steel Rubicon plate = 16.2 lbs, aluminum MPc plate 6.36 lbs.
~6lbs isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things, but that's pretty astounding considering its less than half the weight! Wowza...

When you say brush guard, you mean the skid plate right? (Not the bumper itself). I just wanted to make sure I read that right.

I don't really make contact with the skid-plate either... maybe loose gravel, or ice chunks in the wintertime. Do you know how much the MB Concepts aluminum skid/brush guard weighs? I know the steel Rubi one is about 16lbs. Just want to compare... if its not that much of a difference, I may use the Rubi skid. I have one laying around that a friend gave me.

I read your story about the MB winch plate... yikes. I will definitely upgrade the MB plate. I saw a few options on Extreme Terrain, but since you have positive experience with Grimm Jeeper, might opt for that.

Thanks again!
From what I'm reading the entire assembly, Bumper, Winch Plate, and Skid Plate weigh around 40-45 lbs. Subtract the stock bumper, add the winch weight, and you'll get your weight gain. Not a whole lot for the Mojave suspension.
Here's a recent thread on the subject with some info.
