Hello everybody,

Just picked up this 2023 Sport S with max tow and the LED headlight package. The tail lights are however, not LED. Would it require a dealership flash if I installed a set of OEM LED tail lights to it even though it has the front LED option?

Much appreciate and thanks in advance.

Sorry if this has already been asked. I searched the forum but couldn't find my answer...

Not a flash, a configuration change. Flash is a very abused term. Flash is for total reprogramming of a module.
In this case you'd do a configuration change - settings in the software.
Dealer, or you with a tazer or with software like JSCAN or AlfaOBD
Once you own the software (or tazer device), you own it and can make other settings changes in the future.

What Papa said ^^

I used the tazer to add LED headlights/fogs/DRLs to my Willys Sport that came with halogens from the factory. It's a pretty straightforward process. Ridiculous they don't include LED tails in the LED package. :(

I agree, I noticed the same configuration on the Willy’s model with the oem led option. Not sure why they did it just add the led tails. Thanks for the reply

Not sure if it's still the case, but I don't believe the dealership was/is able to do the programming change specifically for the LED tails and LED front fenders. Maybe it's different now, but a year or two back I recall people saying the dealership techs wouldn't have access to the same settings toggles as you do if you'd just program it yourself via tazer/jscan.

In some cases the flash (Tazer) may NOT work. You may need to install a inline resistor so the dash computer does not flash a bulb warning.
